Systems Sales Surveyor

Job description:
Our client is now one of the leading specialists in installing, selling, leasing and maintaining video and audio door entry systems, CCTV systems, communal satellite/TV aerials, and proximity access control systems in the commercial / residential market.

They are currently recruiting a Systems Sales Surveyor based at their offices in Northolt.

The Systems Sales Surveyor is responsible for securing new business with prospective and existing clients` with a specific focus on small works, system upgrades and new systems. The goal of the Systems Sales Surveyor is to improve the Company`s revenues and gross profit margin in these areas in line with agreed monthly and annual targets.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Generating leads from a variety of sources (e.g. company database, referrals, self-generated etc) & ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
• Pricing/estimating of sales opportunities
• Undertake site surveys, design systems and produce written reports of requirements
• Cold call as appropriate to identify opportunities for new business
• Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging your network
• Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organisation
• Build relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Plan approaches, pitches and presentations, and effectively promote the Company`s products and services, identify client's` needs, concerns and objectives, and use a variety of sales techniques to persuade or negotiate appropriately
• Competently and effectively ensure all leads are recorded within CRM/sales pipeline
• Competently and effectively ensure all necessary documents & information, both hard and soft copy, are recorded, maintained and accurate
• Ensure compliance with all specifications, legislations and stakeholder groups
• Job management/delivery
• Effectively manage and monitor job costs and budgets and maximise gross profitability
• Produce weekly/monthly revenue forecasts and reports for projected sales
• Keep in regular contact with clients to ensure their needs are met at all times
• Develop & maintain a suitable level of technical competency for a range of systems and legislation/compliance
• Ensure effective handovers both internally and externally (clients and internal departments)
• Maintain a professional and positive perception
• Work in accordance with the company`s processes and procedures and contribute to the development of these wherever necessary
• Communicate promptly and effectively with clients` and colleagues
• Work in accordance with the company`s ethos and culture to ensure that the clients` needs are met and feedback is received for the purpose of continuous improvement
• Promote the business and all its services at every opportunity
• Be aware of and behave in accordance with the Company`s core values
• Undertake any other duties that are necessary to fulfil the duties and obligations of your role and the needs of the business.
• Be polite and courteous at all times.


You will need:

• Knowledge of the security industry
• Experience with electronic security systems
• Experience with designing/planning systems
• Previous experience in engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Intermediate Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
• Experience of working as part of a team


• Previous sales experience
• Knowledge of/experience with CRM and database management systems

Salary - £30k (base) P/A + Commission (OTE - £40k+) + Car Allowance

Hours of work - 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)
